[Thinkfinger-devel] [PATCH] add manpages for tf-tool and pam_thinkfinger

Hello!

The attached patch adds the manpages for tf-tool (section 1,
"Executable programs or shell commands") and pam_thinkfinger (section
8, "System administration commands (usually only for root", like
pam_unix2).

It modifies also docs/Makefile.am and configure.in (to add the
--mandir). About the latter, while I don't know why it doesn't
substitute ${prefix} when showing ${MANDIR}, it seems to work as
expected.

Thx, bye,
Gismo / Luca

Hi Luca,

I don't know why but your patch didn't apply cleanly. I re-diffed it again.
The patch is attached, I also fixed a small typo in pam_thinkfinger.8
(defualt).

Best regards,
Stephan

Ops, sorry, I was quite sure that I tested it on a clean SVN checkout,
but testing it now gives an error for pam_thinkfinger.8.

I have applied your patch and committed to SVN with slight changes:

* Fixed type (found by Stephan)
* tf-tool.1 included the same content twice, removed one half
* Added reference to http://thinkfinger.sourceforge.net (SEE ALSO)
* Fixed autofoo bits for configure.in

Thanks!

Hi lists

I can't use a clean rev 65 build of thinkfinger to login.
The strange thing is that "su" works. If I try to login and swipe my
finger the login fails without an error and the login-shell reappears.
I haven't changed anything in my pam settings in between.

Is this likely to be a somehow misconfigured pam or could there be an
error in the changes made to thinkfinger in between?

Help appreciated!
Cheers Sigi

What version of PAM are you using?
