This is something I dummied out in about 30 minutes, but it's
operational. Suggestions
welcome. My current plan is to add a config file so that any .bir file
can be given auth
permissions to one or more real system users.

Almost forgot; to use it, take the .bir file output by tf-test and copy to
/etc/pam_thinkfinger/<username>.bir

Thanks for that! I've looked into creating a PAM module shortly but did
not yet have time to finish anything which would be of interest for the
public :-)

I'm still stuck in my mail queue but I'll have look at your work this
week and get back to you.

Here we go.

I'm not presenting a patch at this point of time but I wanted to keep
you posted on the progress. I was desperately looking for a PAM module
which gives us the following:

Enter password *or* swiping the finger.

As of now I have a proof of concept PAM module which still needs quite a
bit of cleanup but the most important part is done. And it works.
